f j messina is the author of the fast-paced, quick-read murder/mystery series set in Lexington, Kentucky: The Bluegrass Files. The books follow the adventures of a young, Italian-American woman thrust into the role of private investigator and surrounded by a cast of interesting and sometimes quirky characters. There are currently five books in that series. His work Imagine is a stand-alone novel that explores the connection between religious practices and a personal relationship with the Divine. It also examines the ways in which our religious beliefs are sometimes used to promote the political aspirations of individuals, organizations, and even countries. Born in Brooklyn, New York and raised on Long Island, f j holds degrees in music and television, and a Doctorate of Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He has lived in Lexington, Kentucky for over forty years.
