What will Kentucky Book Festival visitors find on your table?
Copies of my colorful book (of course), and sticky note pads and Sharpies to create your own sticky note bucket lists!
Whom do you invite to stop by? Who will benefit from reading your book?
My book is young adult, so it would likely appeal to late middle grade readers and young adult readers, but I believe books for children are books for adults, since we were all children at some point! My book also includes an all-Asian main cast and themes of self-acceptance / learning to enjoy the journey of life rather than living for milestones, so if any of that appeals to you, I’d love to see you!
Could you please tell us something curious about you and/or your book?
As I wrote and edited this book, I went through six (!) full sticky note pads to plan out the scenes. I am a certified lover of sticky notes.
Is this your first time participating in Kentucky Book Festival? If yes – what are you looking forward to the most? If you’ve participated before – what was your favorite experience at the Festival?
This is my FIRST time participating in KBF! I’m most looking forward to interacting with other readers and writers – writing can be a solitary activity, so this is such a wonderful opportunity to see your lovely faces. I’ve also never been to Kentucky before, so I hope I can catch some bluegrass while I’m there!
