Kay Saffari
Kay Saffari is a retired Spanish and ESL instructor who continues to work as a medical interpreter, writer, and Spanish/ESL tutor at the University of Kentucky. She lives in Lexington, Kentucky, with her husband, Behnam, and their cat, Rosie. The Quiet Kitty is Kay’s third children’s book.

The Quiet Kitty
The Quiet Kitty tells the true story of Susie and her cat, Cookie. When Susie becomes ill and is hospitalized, her father tries to lift her spirits by promises to get her a kitten when she gets better. Cookie does bring Susie great joy and becomes her quiet and faithful companion while teaching everyone in the family (and the readers) the value of being quiet.
