Julia Seales to Participate in the Kentucky Book Festival with “A Most Agreeable Murder”

August 4, 2023

What will Kentucky Book Festival visitors find on your table?

When a wealthy bachelor drops dead at a ball, a young lady takes on the decidedly improper role of detective in this action-packed debut comedy of manners and murder. A Most Agreeable Murder follows Beatrice Steele, a Regency-era young lady who is much more interested in crime solving than husband hunting. She must rise above decorum and decency to pursue justice – and catch a killer.

Whom do you invite to stop by? Who will benefit from reading your book?

Readers who are fans of Jane Austen and Agatha Christie – or the more recent Knives Out and Bridgerton – will love this mash-up of the Regency Era and a cozy murder mystery.

Could you please tell us something curious about you and/or your book?

My introduction to Jane Austen was the book Pride and Prejudice and Zombies!

Is this your first time participating in Kentucky Book Festival? If yes – what are you looking forward to the most? If you’ve participated before – what was your favorite experience at the Festival?

This is my first time participating, and I am most looking forward to meeting readers – and finding plenty of new books myself!!
