About
A program of Kentucky Humanities, the Kentucky Book Festival is a celebration of reading, writing, and publishing which takes place each fall. Festival events seek to connect book-lovers and authors, spark engaging conversations, and empower readers by providing access to new books as well as opportunities to learn more about writing in a fun, supportive environment. It’s the biggest bookish celebration in Kentucky!
In addition to festival event, the Book Festival celebrates authors all year with School Days, Pop Up Events and partnerships across the state.
Venue
The Kentucky Book Festival is held at Joseph Beth Booksellers in Lexington, Kentucky. Located in Lexington Green, Joseph Beth has played a significant cultural role as a major bookseller, hosting more bestselling authors, celebrities, public figures and politicians than any other local organization.
Lexington Green’s signature cupolas and lakefront shopping provide an oasis in the midst of Lexington, Kentucky’s busiest intersection. Adjacent to Target and Fayette Mall, Lexington Green is ideally located at the intersection of New Circle and Nicholasville Roads just north of the region’s largest retail development.
