Join author/illustrator Rachel Elliott for this fun, generative workshop! Participants will use a game called “animal + emotion + occupation” to create comic characters, with Rachel leading the way with prompts and ideas. Open to any age and skill level. No supplies needed–seating is limited to the first 10 participants, so arrive early to claim your seat. Once inside Joseph-Beth, ride the escalator downstairs and walk straight ahead to the “Barn” for this activity.
Don’t forget to ask a book festival volunteer about a free book voucher for kids 12 years old and under! Visit dozens of authors of books for pre-K through middle grade readers in the big white tent. No purchase or registration is required to participate in this activity at the Kentucky Book Festival on October 29.
