Geneva’s Garden: Four Seasons of Beauty in Lexington’s Gratz Park

What will Kentucky Book Festival visitors find on your table?

Copies of my books, GENEVA’S GARDEN: FOUR SEASONS OF BEAUTY IN LEXINGTON’S GRATZ PARK (2024),MIDNIGHT: PHOTOGRAPHS AND HAIKU (2022) and EVEN IF (2020).

Whom do you invite to stop by? Who will benefit from reading your book?

I invite everyone who lovesphotography, gardening, the historic Gratz Park in downtown Lexington, and my own contemporary take ontraditional Japanese haiku. I think gardeners in particular might appreciate GENEVA’S GARDEN.

Could you please tell us something curious about you and/or your book?

I lived in Lexington for 10 years,1988 to ’98, and then returned in 2019 after a 20-year absence. It’s nice to be back!

Is this your first time participating in Kentucky Book Festival? If yes – what are you looking forward to themost? If you’ve participated before – what was your favorite experience at the Festival?

In my first year atthe festival, I look forward to meeting people (including other authors as well as book-buyers) and talkingabout books!
