About the Author
After teaching middle and high school English for 32 years, Marianne Peel spent three summers in Guizhou Province, teaching best practices to teachers in China and received Fulbright-Hays Awards to Nepal and Turkey. Her second collection, Singing is Praying Twice focuses on five generations of females and the rites of passage inherent in intergenerational connections and makes palpable the musicality amid loss and regret with much singing, dancing, and rejoicing on the page.
