Jessica Strawser to Participate in the Kentucky Book Festival with “The Next Thing You Know”

August 29, 2023

What will Kentucky Book Festival visitors find on your table?

I’ll have brand-new paperbacks of my People Magazine pick The Next Thing You Know available for the first time ever at KBF, plus popular backlist titles and an exclusive giveaway relating to my forthcoming novel, The Last Caretaker (coming December 1).

Whom do you invite to stop by? Who will benefit from reading your book?

My books are popular book club selections because they focus on it-could-happen-to-you types of situations that leave readers with a LOT to talk about! They also make great gifts for anyone in your life who likes a blend of page-turning suspense and character-driven, layered drama—and I’m happy to customize copies with personalized inscriptions for anyone looking ahead to their holiday gift lists.

Could you please tell us something curious about you and/or your book?

My novels are all set at least partially in or near the Cincinnati area, where I live—and my latest, The Next Thing You Know, has an important scene set in Kentucky’s own Kincaid Lake State Park.

Is this your first time participating in Kentucky Book Festival? If yes – what are you looking forward to the most? If you’ve participated before – what was your favorite experience at the Festival?

I’m honored to be a repeat guest at the Kentucky Book Festival, where I’ve moderated panels onstage and have come to love seeing familiar faces among my fellow authors and attendees alike.

Jessica Strawser is the author of five book club favorite novels. The Next Thing You Know is an emotional, resonant story about the power of human connection, love when you least expect it, hope against the odds, and what it really takes to live life with no regrets.
