Could you please tell us something curious about you and/or your book?
The book shares personal stories of belonging or not belonging written by individuals who work in higher education.

Is this your first time participating in Kentucky Book Festival?
No; it’s my second time participating in the Kentucky Book Festival.

If you’ve participated before – what was your favorite experience at the Festival?
My favorite experience at the Festival has been being with fellow KY authors and the rich conversations that happen when talking with event participants. It may be talking with patrons who stop by to look at your book(s) or chatting with fellow authors; the conversations are always memorable and special to me.

Dr. Nicholas D. Hartlep holds the Robert Charles Billings Endowed Chair in Education at Berea College, where he chairs the Education Studies Department. With chapters contributed by a diversity of higher education staff and faculty, Belonging in Higher Education illuminates autoethnographic stories of belonging in higher education in the United States.
