Hadley, the Happy and Helpful Hadrosaurus

What will Kentucky Book Festival visitors find on your table?

Susan Mills will be signing (4) books that have been published thus far, including the newest “Hadley, the Happy and Helpful Hadrosaurus”. Visitors may walk away with coloring pages, stickers, and miniature dinosaur figurines.

Whom do you invite to stop by? Who will benefit from reading your book?

The DinoSprout book series features books for the approximate ages 3-8 years of age, but adults including parents, teachers, child/family therapists will all find books and resources that are beneficial.

Could you please tell us something curious about you and/or your book?

Hadley, the Happy and Helpful Hadrosaurus approaches the subject of food allergies and friendship in a playful story about one dinosaur whose favorite food is cake. So many children face food allergy challenges in today’s society. It’s important for those children, and their friends alike, to engage in a conversation about this sensitive topic. Each book in the DinoSprout book series features a dinosaur that has a “special need” and their friends who embrace and support them.

Is this your first time participating in Kentucky Book Festival? If yes – what are you looking forward to the most? If you’ve participated before – what was your favorite experience at the Festival?

I participated in the Kentucky Book Festival last year and had the most incredible experience! My favorite experience was engaging with all of the children and asking them which dinosaur was their favorite. They all had strong opinions!
