Mothman’s Merry Cryptid Christmas

What will Kentucky Book Festival visitors find on your table?
Mothman’s Merry Cryptid Christmas is the first in a series of cryptid-themed holiday picture books for kids. Imagine the story of Rudolph, but with Mothman leading Santa’s sleigh one foggy Christmas Eve. It’s more humorous than scary, which surprises some people.

Whom do you invite to stop by? Who will benefit from reading your book?
While my Mothman picture books are appropriate for children ages four and up, adults often read and enjoy them, too. Mothman is a hit with all ages!

Could you please tell us something curious about you and/or your book?
The audiobook download is read by British comedian Richard Ayoade (IT Crowd, The Mandalorian), one of my comedy heroes. It’s available through Joseph-Beth’s partnership with Libro.fm.

If you’ve participated before – what was your favorite experience at the Festival?
I’ve met many new-to-me authors at the festival over the years, some of whose books I continue to read and some who have simply become good friends.
