POE Prophecies: The Black Cat

What will Kentucky Book Festival visitors find on your table?
Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. POE Prophecies is an engaging mystery series inspired by true events and the works of Edgar Allan Poe. Poe Prophecies: The Black Cat continues Aidan Gray’s journey through P.O.E. Academy as he investigates the mysterious behavior of another student and uncovers a sinister secret.

Exile of the Sky God is an action-packed tale of self-discovery. It takes readers on a mythical journey through Ancient Egypt during the rise of the young sky god, Horus.

My other titles include the colorful children’s picture books, A Spot of New and Morning Puppa. A Spot of New teaches kids that new experiences can make life more colorful, and Morning Puppa—based on a real four-legged friend—follows an adorable pup who’s lost his favorite teacup.

Whom do you invite to stop by? Who will benefit from reading your book?
Kids and adults who enjoy urban fantasy with a dash of speculative history will find something in POE Prophecies. The series puts a twist on true events involving Edgar Allan Poe and unfolds into an exciting mystery.

Could you please tell us something curious about you and/or your book?
Since receiving my degree in Broadcasting & Electronic Media from Eastern Kentucky University years ago, I’ve done freelance voice-over work for companies all over the world. There are too many to name but you never know when you might call up a company and hear a familiar author’s voice on the recording. As a professional voice talent, I also recorded the audiobooks for my novels, as well as some for author friends. My audiobooks are such proud accomplishments, and I put a lot of work and emotion into bringing my characters to life. I’m grateful to have the skills to produce and perform them for my readers.

Is this your first time participating in Kentucky Book Festival? If yes – what are you looking forward to the most? If you’ve participated before – what was your favorite experience at the Festival?

It has been an absolute privilege to have been a part of the Kentucky Book Festival for the past several years. Since being an author often involves long hours alone at a computer, I look forward to attending The Kentucky Book Festival so I can mingle with book lovers from all walks of life. I’ve made friends with authors and readers from across the country.
