The Original Louisville Slugger

What will Kentucky Book Festival visitors find on your table?
Items relating to Pete Browning that will stir conversation about his unique and legendary life.

Whom do you invite to stop by? Who will benefit from reading your book?
All those interested in baseball history.  Even if you are not into baseball, but enjoy stories of underdogs who rise to the top of their profession despite the odds, this is the book for you.

Could you please tell us something curious about you and/or your book?
I believe all the books I have written highlight overlooked and forgotten legends of their chosen professions and endeavours.  It is those stories I liked telling best regardless of whether they are musicians or athletes.  Most people are familiar with the name Louisvile Slugger, but unfamiliar with its origins. The Original Louisville Slugger tells the story of its namesake and how it came to be.

Is this your first time participating in Kentucky Book Festival? If yes – what are you looking forward to the most? If you’ve participated before – what was your favorite experience at the Festival?
Yes, getting a chance to be a part of the Kentucky book and history community.
