McBeth

Randy, the Badly Drawn Reindeer!

Appearance Date: 10/29/2022

The third book in the Randy, the Badly Drawn Horse series, in which Randy celebrates Christmas and finds out what all the reindeer fuss is about.

It’s Christmas, and Randy is decked out in his holiday best. He can’t wait to see the pretty lights on all the trees and eat a candy cane or two…but the most exciting part of Christmas has to be Santa and his reindeer. Can a beautiful horse be a reindeer? It’ll take snow, carrots, and maybe even a flying leap to see if Randy is cut out for these reindeer games!

T. L. McBeth was born in Findlay, Ohio. As a child, he grew up reading Dr. Seuss and H. A. & Margret Rey (although he mainly looked at the pictures). He studied illustration in college where he developed a love for expressive and minimal characters. He now lives in Bloomington, Indiana and enjoys working from his small home studio in the middle of nowhere. When he does leave the house, he likes to watch the dogs in the neighborhood dog park and visit bookstores for inspiration. He is the illustrator of Stegothesaurus, Triceratopposite, Ogilvy, Ducks! and the Big Words Small Stories series, and the author/illustrator of Robot in Love and Randy, the Badly Drawn Horse. T. L. was previously an artist-in-residence at Wetherby-Pembridge School New York. His work has been featured by Macmillan, Scholastic, Threadless, McDonald’s, TODAY, The Wall Street Journal and displayed at the Society of Illustrators.
