LaTrell Halcomb to Participate in the Kentucky Book Festival with “Good Night Little Bunny”

What will Kentucky Book Festival visitors find on your table?

Goodnight Little Bunny is my second published book. This bedtime story that is just right for winding down the day with a joyful hopping bunny. A bunny that not only eats all his food but shows exactly how to get ready for bed. Feeding his pets, scrubs his two large front teeth, and snores the night away dreaming about how tomorrows going to be a great day.

Brownie Boy is my first published book. This book is about a little boy named Mike that can’t wait to get home and eat his favorite dessert after a long day of learning. Although he’s ready to devour the warm sweet brownies, Mike’s mom tries to teach him patience and responsibility. For his beloved food, Mike will do anything to get a taste of the brownies to satisfy his cravings.

Whom do you invite to stop by? Who will benefit from reading your book?

I am a children’s book author. My two published books are intended for scholars ranging from Pre-K through 4th grade. I invite everyone to stop by! Whether it be parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, teachers, administrators etc. Both Brownie Boy and Goodnight LIttle Bunny could be purchased as a birthday gift, a baby shower gift, bedtime story, or simply to add to a collection on the bookshelf.

Could you please tell us something curious about you and/or your book?

I’m a full time Truck Driver with a passion for writing. Having young children myself showed me the true importance of literature for our youth. Incorporating life lessons within a fun children’s book helped my kids learn about patience; something we all could learn more about.

Is this your first time participating in Kentucky Book Festival? If yes – what are you looking forward to the most? If you’ve participated before – what was your favorite experience at the Festival?

This will be my first time participating in the Kentucky Book Festival. I am eager to engage and meet new authors/readers. Engaging with young scholars that may be in attendance that reading can be fun and exciting! As an author that was apprehensive and unsure how to start in this profession, I would love to be an inspiration to young children that they can achieve any goals they set their mind to.

LaTrell Halcomb is determined to teach young scholars that anything is possible as long as they continue to strive to achieve their dreams. In Brownie Boy, Mike can’t wait to get home and eat his favorite dessert.
