What will Kentucky Book Festival visitors find on your table?
Not Here to Stay Friends is a young adult romance about two best friends who unexpectedly end up spending their summer around a reality dating show! While one is a contestant being courted by the lead actor of her favorite TV show, the other is a production assistant behind the scenes, and both are starting to realize their more-than-friendly feelings for each other.
Love from Scratch is my other young adult romance about two interns on an online cooking show! When they fill in for some of the channel’s chefs in a video at the last minute, sparks fly on camera and off. When their show goes viral, they each have to navigate the pitfalls of internet fame and a competition for the same end-of-summer job—along with an inconvenient attraction to their co-star.
Whom do you invite to stop by? Who will benefit from reading your book?
Fans of young adult romance, reality TV, friends- or enemies-to-lovers tropes, and/or plenty of humor and puns!
Could you please tell us something curious about you and/or your book?
All my books so far have had a reality TV-inspired premise because I’m a huge reality TV fan! I’ve been watching all the Bachelor franchise shows since I was in middle school, but my other favorites are The Great Pottery Throw Down, Love Island, and The Amazing Race.
Is this your first time participating in Kentucky Book Festival? If yes – what are you looking forward to the most? If you’ve participated before – what was your favorite experience at the Festival?
This will be my second Kentucky Book Festival as an author, and I’m so excited to meet more readers! That was definitely the best part of last year’s festival. I’m also excited to have a second book on my table this year!
Kaitlyn Hill lives with her real-life romance hero in Lexington, KY. Not Here to Stay Friends is a friends-to-lovers spin on The Bachelor and follows two childhood besties reuniting to spend the summer in L.A. after five years apart.
