Penney Sanders to Participate in the Kentucky Book Festival with “The Last Journey: A Road Map for Ending-of-Days”

What will Kentucky Book Festival visitors find on your table?

Visitors will find copies of our Book, of course. Additionally, I plan to have information from Hospice of the Bluegrass (dba Bluegrass Care Navigators) and The Palliative Care Center at the University of KY. If there are other pertinent programs, I will include their materials also.

FYI- the Lexington Area has excellent Hospice and Palliative Care options.

Whom do you invite to stop by? Who will benefit from reading your book?

Everyone will benefit from our book. However, the book is directed toward those doing end-of-life planning: making wills and directives.; as well as those involved in some aspect of the Journey with a terminal illness.

Could you please tell us something curious about you and/or your book?

When asked recently what my hobby was, I replied talking about “Death,” I meant it as a joke but …

People seek me out to talk about planning-what to do, how to do. But more importantly, I help people walk the unique “Journey” we describe in our book. Each Journey is different and yet similar in many ways. It is helpful to have someone who has walked the Journey to be there with you.

Is this your first time participating in Kentucky Book Festival? If yes – what are you looking forward to the most? If you’ve participated before – what was your favorite experience at the Festival?

This is my first time to be at the Festival and I am honored to have been selected.

I look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones. And, as might be expected, I look forward to talking about the “Journey.”

In many ways this is a wonderful “Homecoming” for me.
